In 2022 YHA Australia launched Schirrmo’s Bar, a new basement venue next to Sydney Central. The branding was inspired by the YHA brands mission to transform the dive bar to an underground hangout, offering an a eclectic, warm, and welcoming atmosphere. Named after Richard Schirrmann, a pioneer of the hostelling movement and advocate for global friendship, Schirrmo’s embodies YHA’s commitment to creating inclusive, cross-cultural spaces across Australia.
